A Little Taste of Italy

Anthony & I just got home from our 10 day trip to Italy!! We had an amazing time but definitely could have looked into things more!  We got to see a lot while there; Rome, Florence, Alfedena, Sorrento, Pompei and Positano!!! We went to a AS Roma soccer game while in Rome and also got to see the Pope and hear him speak during Immaculate Conception at the Spanish Steps.

Some of the downfalls of the trip was walking the wrong direction for almost 6 miles on our walk home after the soccer game ... the Sistine Chapel was closed on the day we went to Rome ... it rained a few days ... and most of Positano was shut down since it was winter.

But there were soo many amazing things to the trip as well! The most important one was that we got to meet Anthony's family in Alfedena!!  They were absolutely wonderful!!  They had home cooked meals for us at their family restaurant & pub and Aunt Mary (who's turning 90) was the cutest woman!!!  We had amazing food, gelato, tiramisu, cappacino and of course wine!!  The scenery at Positano was breathtaking!!

We had a great time but missed Olivia every second!! Her grandparents loved that we were on vacation though because they both got to spend 5 days with her!! I'm sure she was spoiled but we are so happy to be back home with her!!

Blogger Beginner

I am finally joining the blogging world! I have been following some friends blogs and enjoyed them!  I have some extra time when Olivia is sleeping...so I figured why not try it out!  I decided on this name of the blog because Anthony is ALWAYS saying "The World is your Oyster" to me when I'm upset and/or missing friends & family!  I'm not going to lie, it really gets on my nerves because he says it to me at least once a week!  But I thought it was the perfect blog name for us!

We really miss our friends in Harrisburg and our family that we moved farther away from when we decided to start our own business in Canonsburg.  But we've decided to make the best of it and hopefully we'll build some great friendships here like we had in Harrisburg.

I'm hoping this will help my friends and family keep up with our lives but mostly Olivia's!

Hopefully I'll improve on this blogging experience & I'm not the best writer so bare with me...but expect a lot of pictures!
